AE Ramass\u00e0<\/strong> celebrates 50 years<\/strong> of history with a weekend full of emotions<\/strong>, sport<\/strong> and social commitment<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Les Franqueses del Vall\u00e8s, June 2025 \u2014 AE Ramass\u00e0 has commemorated its 50th anniversary with a weekend of events filled with symbolism, participation, and emotion, leaving a profound mark on the entire community. The club had the honor of hosting the Sahrawi Sports Federation<\/strong> and the National Team of Western Sahara<\/strong>, special guests who played a central role in both the sports and institutional events, strengthening the bonds of cooperation and solidarity that have united the two organizations for years.<\/p>\n

The celebrations began on Friday, June 20<\/strong> with an institutional reception at the Les Franqueses del Vall\u00e8s Town Hall<\/strong>, attended by the Sports Councillor Carlos Munz\u00f3n<\/strong>, and continued with the awareness event \u201cFootball is Refuge\u201d at Can Ribas<\/strong>, coinciding with World Refugee Day<\/strong>. The round table brought together representatives from UNHCR<\/strong>, the Catalan Fund for Cooperation<\/strong>, the Catalan Football Federation<\/strong>, the Sahrawi Sports Federation<\/strong>, and Ramass\u00e0 players<\/strong>, creating a space rich in reflection, experiences, and proposals for inclusion through sport.<\/p>\n

At night, after the institutional event, a very special training session was held with the Sahrawi Sports Federation in l\u2019Ametlla del Vall\u00e8s<\/strong>, with the participation of the mayor, Jan Santal\u00f3 i Lloret<\/strong>. This symbolic gathering reaffirmed sport as a tool for collective cohesion and dignity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Saturday, June 21<\/strong>, sport took center stage with three friendly matches<\/strong> that brought together Ramass\u00e0\u2019s men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams with the Sahrawi National Team<\/strong>, in a day defined by fair play, respect, and camaraderie between teams<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

In the morning, the historic debut of the Sahrawi futsal team ended with a narrow 1\u20132 victory at the Corr\u00f3 d\u2019Avall Sports Hall.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, Ramass\u00e0\u2019s women\u2019s team won 9\u20134<\/strong> in an intense match full of good vibes.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s eleven-a-side football match,<\/strong> refereed by former referee Alfons \u00c1lvarez Izquierdo<\/strong>, ended with a Sahrawi victory of 0\u20132<\/strong>, but with a great performance by Ramass\u00e0.<\/p>\n

The events continued at the Llerona sports area, where the club\u2019s 50th anniversary party was held. More than 200 people, including authorities, families, and friends of Ramass\u00e0, took part in a warm and festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n

During the institutional speeches<\/strong>, the club named the Right Honourable President of the Government of Catalonia, Pere Aragon\u00e8s<\/strong>, and the Secretary General for Sport, Abel Garc\u00eda Mar\u00edn<\/strong>, as honorary members<\/strong> in gratitude for their support and commitment to sport as a tool for social transformation.<\/p>\n

One of the most emotional moments of the evening was the tribute to the founders of the club<\/strong>, with a special mention to Manel and Joan Pujadas, who received a commemorative pin<\/strong> and a warm, heartfelt round of applause from everyone present. The other historic founders were also honored: Jaume Pujadas, Esteve Vi\u00f1olas, Josep Bellavista, and Ramon Abadias, who have been key to the beginnings and consolidation of the project.<\/p>\n
